I have always dreamed of becoming a millionaire, ever since I can remember. I think it was way back in 2001, that I decided to have a go at making some money online. I thought it would be easy…boy was I wrong!

Over the past few months I have looked at where I am now and where I want to be in the next 5 years. I have finally got myself a mentor, and through his help, my journey has begun.

So you could say my journey began over 10 years ago…now, you’re probably wondering…Have I made any money? I must be rich? I must be experienced?

Well the answer is an HONEST and big fat NO!

You see, as much as I wanted to become successful at making money online through Internet Marketing, I didn’t have the right mind-set. I bought into so many programs, read endless eBooks, listened and watched way too many audio/video training programs; I attended webinar after webinar, staying up night after night trying to find the next big thing that could work for me.

Fast forward 10 years, 2010. The day my son was born, May 11th.

I sat down that night and really asked myself some serious questions…

Why have I failed?

What do I want out of life?

What am I going to do about it?

How am I ever going to succeed, if all I do is dream?

And the list went on and on…

After writing this list, I realised that I was the reason I failed. Not anyone else but me. I knew what I wanted out of life, the usual stuff everyone dreams of, a nice house, a nice car, a couple of holidays a year and the fact that I never wanted to worry about living from pay check to pay check.

As I mentioned earlier, I got myself a mentor. His name is John Thornhill. Now luckily for me, I found John by complete accident, just by searching google for tips on how to make money through Internet Marketing and mentors. John has given me the coaching and more importantly he direction I needed.

With his help, he has given me one thing I never had before and this one thing that helps get me up every morning and get my laptop on and get going. The one thing that I lacked in over the last 10 years.

What is this one thing? CONFIDENCE. That’s all it is, and with this new found confidence,I took ACTION. So why now?

I have a decent job, I earn decent money and if I’m honest, I do actually like my job. But, at the end of the day, it is still, just a job. There is no real security and more than anything, I have always said to myself that I want to retire by the age of 40 and I’m running out of time, I have eight years to make my dream a reality.

I don’t want to be working until I am 65. I want to enjoy my life, spend time with my family and friends and do the things that make me happy. For me, the only way for me to do this was to have a go with Internet Marketing and really (and I mean REALLY) make a go of it.

Since training with John, I have managed to buy my Domain, set up a hosting account, set up my blog, learned how to write a blog, learned how to monetize the blog, inserted an opt-in form to the blog via AWeber and many, many other new skills. Before the training began, and by the way, it’s only been a few weeks, I had no idea what I was doing or how I was going to do it.

My advise to anyone thinking of starting out in Internet Marketing or has the desire to make money online, would be to get yourself a decent mentor. There are many mentors out there, but the support John brings with his training is second to none.

Once you decide on something, just do it. Take action and don’t look back.
